GREEN MACHINES
In the debate over Climate Change, many voices have been raised in alarm at the damage done to our planet. But change doesn’t just come from lobby groups or politicians. In fact, for any significant evolutionary leap in consciousness and behaviour to occur, heavy industry will have to be heavily involved.
The MONMET team takes the issue seriously, and has made it a priority to work on initiatives proving that the promotion of sound, progressive solutions to global warming is not just environmentally responsible – it’s good business.
Indeed, Monmet president M. Cahill founded a separate enterprise, Urban Recovery, to recycle architectural and industrial building materials, making them available to small businesses and individuals rather than having them pile up in scrapyards or in landfill. Cahill has spent countless weekends scouring the countryside, rescuing materials from homes, estates, farms, churches and warehouses and giving them a second life.
And that is just the beginning: the Monmet team works with a global network of partners who believe Greener business is not just an idea but also a mission.
