Monmet is an engineering and consulting firm with expertise in castings, forgings, fabrication, machining, gearing and power transmission.
With our global reach and human approach, we are integrally involved in the fundamental industries of Mining, Cement, Pulp & Paper, Wood Processing and Power Generation. The materials that we work with and supply – steel, iron and bronze – are crucial to all heavy industries. All parts meet or surpass industry standards for quality and performance, with physical quality and dimensional integrity meticulously checked against customer specifications and technical drawings. Monmet offers many processes including sand casting, rolled ring forging, bronze casting, stainless steel casting and more.
Monmet provides a comprehensive array of cast and forged specialty processes, whose respective strengths will meet your most exacting requirements:
- Our sand castings range in size from a few pounds to over 100 tons and are available in a full range of alloys including all grades of grey and ductile iron, ni-hard and ni-resists, as well as low-alloy carbon and stainless steel.
- Our investment casting process provides components in virtually any ferrous or non-ferrous alloy. Also known as the lost-wax process, investment casting produces sophisticated near-net shape, close-tolerance components, reducing the final cost to our customers.
- Our centrifugal casting process offers bronze castings and stainless steel castings in both vertical and horizontal formats, along with our continuous casting products.
- We also provide open-die steel forging, closed-die forging and seamless rolled ring forging in a similar range of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
- All products are available finish machined. Working closely with our partner companies, we provide complete fabrications as well as a full range of power transmission components including pinions, couplings and gearing.
